SASO CoC is a Product Conformity Program for exports to the country implanted by The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, what means that all products require a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to enable customs clearance as part of the Saudi Arabia Conformity Assessment Program.

Saudi Quality Mark is an exclusive property of the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality (SASO), and it is an optional mark for all products except for the products on which the Saudi Quality Mark is imposed to indicate the conformity of goods to Saudi standards and having an appropriate quality system.

Saber is an electronic system that connects traders and importers to product conformity certification bodies that are accredited by Saudi Customs and regulatory bodies "certification".

GSO approved the Technical Regulation for Gulf Conformity Marking that signifies the conformity of products at least to the essential requirements of health, safety and environment.

The Harmonized System (HS code) is an international coding system to classify the product, it allows countries to classify goods prepared for exporting and importing based on customs purposes which facilitates the trade flow.

Product categorization is a step to register products on Saber electronic platform and issue the Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC) for each category based on the same trademark, country of origin, HS code, and the same family. All the imported and locally manufactured consumer products approved by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) that are placed and sold in the Saudi Market, are required to be registered on Saber.

The Self Declaration certificate is a declaration from the merchant to state that the product is conformed to the legislation requirements. It is applied to the non regulated products locally manufactured or imported for sale in the kingdom market.

The SCoC is issued for a quantity of product that can be identified through (serial number/batch number/production date) in order to confirm that it conforms to the relevant standards and technical regulations.
